Midlevel Corporate M&A Attorney
We have a reputable client with an immediate opening in their Oakland office for a Corporate Associate with four to seven years of experience preferred. The candidate will have a general corporate background, with significant experience in M&A, commercial contract drafting, review and negotiation, corporate governance, and public finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to evaluate potential acquisition targets.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management.
- Perform due diligence on potential acquisition targets, including industry research, competitive analysis, and financial review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of acquired companies.
- Support the negotiation and execution of M&A transactions, including drafting term sheets and coordinating with legal and financial advisors.
- Monitor and report on post-acquisition performance and integration progress.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school; MBA in business/finance preferred.
- Active California bar license or commitment to obtaining one as soon as possible.
- 4-7 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
