Private Equity M&A Attorney

A reputable client is seeking a high-performing and experienced Senior M&A and Private Equity Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mergers and acquisitions, specifically with private equity matters and a proven track record of successfully managing complex transactions and over 5+ years of experience. This individual will possess excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, and will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role will sit in Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of private equity and M&A transactions, including due diligence, negotiation, drafting, and closing.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with necessary personnel involved in deal work, providing strategic advice.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, providing guidance and support to develop their skills and expertise.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support transaction strategies and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and identify and mitigate potential risks in transactions.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the Indiana state bar.
• Prior experience at an AmLaw ranked law firm is preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience with complex private equity and M&A transactions.
• Proven ability to lead and manage complex transactions from inception to completion.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
