Corporate Counsel
Our client is a growth-oriented medical device company that focuses on providing life-altering treatments to an underrepresented and underdiagnosed patient population. The company is located in the South Bay and has an early-stage feel, giving you the opportunity to form close relationships with C-suite leadership while working in a fast-paced environment.
This company is looking to add on a business-focused Corporate Counsel who will report directly into the General Counsel and collaborate daily with other members of the executive team. The role offers tons of room for personal and professional growth with a long-term potential to build out your own team. Day-to-day tasks will focus on transactional matters while also supporting corporate governance, compliance, litigation, and intellectual property protection.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with governance, legislative changes, equity plans, SEC filings, and manage litigation.
- Provide legal support on transactions, governance, compliance, IP, and litigation.
- Ensure ethical leadership and compliance with all applicable laws.
- Support the Quality System and Compliance Program; manage project portfolios.
- Draft, negotiate, and review commercial agreements; advise on legal risks.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor with an active membership in a state bar.
- 5+ years of combined experience in an in-house corporate legal department or law firm
- Strong training in corporate transactions, governance, compliance, and commercial law matters.
- Ability to commute to the South Bay and be on-site
