Corporate Counsel
Our client, a Bay Area health system, is looking for an experienced Corporate Counsel to assist with contracts and transactional related matters. The position would work closely with a skilled but tight knit team.
Job Description:
- Draft and negotiate provider contracts and compensation terms.
- Supervise contracting staff and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other transactions.
- Identify and address legal risks in provider compensation and value-based care.
- Advise on corporate structure and governance for healthcare affiliations.
- Collaborate with CMO on budgeting, quality goals, and credentialing.
- Manage approval processes for provider compensation.
- Cultivate relationships with business owners and resolve contract issues.
- Communicate with executives and stakeholders throughout negotiations.
- Manage contract events (renewals, terminations, due dates).
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of legal experience in healthcare transactions.
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Strong communication, contract drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations (Stark, Anti-Kickback, HIPAA).
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- High integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in contract management systems.
