Corporate Counsel
Our client is an industry leading global food manufacturer and distributor seeking to hire an In-House Counsel to spearhead the legal department. This person will be the sole in-house counsel, reporting to and working closely with C-Suite, promoting high visibility. This is a fantastic opportunity for advancement and will allow you to hone in on a generalist legal skillset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support HR by advising on labor and employment law.
- Provide legal counsel on a wide range of corporate matters, including contracts, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements.
- Advise on corporate governance and compliance issues.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support business initiatives and mitigate legal risks.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California State Bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
