Job Opportunity: Labor and Employment Attorney
We are partnered with a reputable national client seeking a Labor and Employment Attorney for their Orlando office. They are looking for an Associate with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join their nationally ranked Labor and Employment Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defend employers in federal and state courts, and before administrative agencies such as the EEOC and the Department of Labor
- Advise employers on employment-related issues, including leave entitlement, wage and hour matters, hiring, terminations, discipline, handbook policies, employment agreements, and other employment relationship matters
- Manage litigation tasks, including responding to complaints, drafting and responding to discovery, handling e-discovery and document production, preparing motions, and drafting position statements
- Handle wage and hour collective actions and class action litigation
- Conduct depositions, both taking and defending
Requirements:
- Attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent research and analytical abilities
- High academic achievement
- Licensed to practice law in Florida
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AmLaw 100 law firms
