Legal & Compliance Counsel - Elite Credit Fund
We are currently partnered with a high performing credit fund who continues to outperform their competition and continues its growth on a larger scale. They're seeking a 40act attorney to join their funds team and work on a number of different fund legal matters including Private Funds, BDC'S, 40act funds, and regulatory matters. This individual will join a supportive team and have the opportunity to expand their knowledge base with a platform that has a long-standing history of success.
Responsibilities:
- Play a lead role in assisting the funds team on all 40 Act & Private Funds product structuring and launches
- Support BDC'S including review of earning calls/presentations, board packages, and review marketing materials
- Negotiate and oversee legal documentation including side letters, limited partnership agreements, and assist with investor relations matters
- Oversee and manage outside counsel
Requirements:
- JD from a top tier Law school
- 5+ years of experience within private practice or in-house environment at an established Investment Manager
- Experience with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 & Investment Company Act of 1940
- Experience with Private Funds & BDC'S
