Position Overview: The Associate General Counsel will play a crucial role in providing legal support and guidance on matters related to the Public Utility Commission (PUC) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). This position requires a deep understanding of regulatory compliance, energy law, and utility operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice on PUC and FERC regulations and compliance.
- Represent the company in regulatory proceedings and hearings.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure regulatory compliance and risk management.
- Monitor and analyze changes in relevant laws and regulations.

- Manage and oversee external legal counsel as needed.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in Oregon or eligibility for admission.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy law, with a focus on PUC and FERC matters.
