We have partnered with a national health group on a search to build out their Labor and Employment team.
This role will report directly to the VP of Legal and involves managing legal matters related to labor and employment law, employee benefits, and litigation. Key expertise includes employment regulations, anti-discrimination laws, wage and hour laws, occupational injury, ERISA, NLRB regulations, non-competition laws, antitrust, litigation, and dispute resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other attorneys on matters related to employee clinical peer review, HIPAA privacy and security regulations, Affirmative Action Plans, and responses to government investigations concerning labor and employment compliance issues.
- Serve as an initial contact attorney for designated entities.
- Provide timely, professional, and courteous legal service, demonstrating independent thinking and initiative.
Education & Skills:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- Strong knowledge of labor and employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Experience:
- A minimum of four years of experience in labor and employment law, either in a law firm or in-house setting.
