Salary: $225,000 - $275,000 base salary, plus annualized bonus

Company Overview:
A leading professional services firm in New York City is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team. The CFO will play a critical role in the financial leadership of the company, working closely with the CEO/President and the Board of Directors. This position is designed for a strategic thinker who thrives in a collaborative environment, overseeing the company's financial planning, reporting, and operations.

Position Overview:
As the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial strategy, ensuring the organization's financial health, and guiding key decisions at the executive level. Reporting directly to the CEO/President, you will lead a team that includes a Controller and Director of Finance. This role provides a unique opportunity to make a substantial impact in a growing firm, offering a mix of high-level strategy and hands-on financial leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO/President and Board of Directors to drive the company's long-term financial strategy.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support key business decisions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the company's accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and mentor the finance team, including the Controller and Director of Finance.
  • Develop and monitor key financial metrics to assess business performance.
  • Oversee cash management, capital structure, and financing strategies to support business growth.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers, and investors.
  • Lead the development and execution of internal controls, risk management, and compliance procedures.
  • Support the CEO and Board in evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, and investment opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader, ideally in a professional services or similar high-growth environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and build a cohesive finance team.
  • Experience working directly with executive leadership and board members on strategic finance matters.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and accounting principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary between $225,000 - $275,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Annualized performance-based bonus.
