Senior Legal Negotiator
We are partnered with a well established Health System who is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Legal Negotiator to join their IS&T team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in negotiating IT business deals to promote cost savings, and have worked within a healthcare organization. This role involves negotiating and managing contract renewals and amendments to ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
Responsibilities:
Contract Development and Negotiation:
- Draft, review, and negotiate IT contracts with healthcare providers, vendors, and suppliers.
- Ensure contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
- Manage contract renewals and amendments.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal departments such as legal, finance, and IT to align contract terms with organizational goals.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to resolve contract-related issues.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Monitor compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT contracts.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct market research to inform contract negotiations.
- Develop strategies to optimize contract terms and achieve cost savings.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of contract negotiations and agreements.
- Prepare reports on contract performance and compliance.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in contract management or healthcare administration are a plus.
Experience:
- Previous experience in contract negotiation, preferably within the healthcare or IT sectors.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
