A leading trading firm focused on crypto assets is seeking to bring on a Regulatory Crypto Counsel to join their dynamic team. The scope of the role will focus on a wide variety of regulatory matters pertaining to cryptocurrency as well as providing strategic support on innovative company initiatives, working closely with the executive team. This role will be based out of either Chicago, IL or Washington D.C office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate directly with the executive team to help structure and develop new opportunities regarding crypto assets
- Deliver strategic guidance and thought leadership on innovative initiatives, including OTC and on-exchange trading, VC investments, and partnerships.
- Provide legal counsel to the team in relation to new business opportunities and routine operations
- Work in partnership with cross functional groups relating to various legal matters
Required Skills
- JD and admission to a state bar
- 5+ years of experience focusing on financial laws and regulations
- Familiarity with relevant US regulatory frameworks applicable to crypto assets
- Strong background handling legal and regulatory issues related to crypto assets
- Effectively communicate with various groups and levels of the firm
- Experience with non-US crypto regulatory matters would be a plus
