Employment Attorney
We are partnered with a reputable national client seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney with 3+ years of experience for their New York office. The ideal candidate will handle a broad range of employment issues and provide day-to-day advice and counsel to employers. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can navigate complex legal landscapes and offer strategic solutions to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Handle workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases.
- Draft pleadings, discovery, and motions to support litigation efforts.
- Take and defend depositions, and conduct administrative hearings as needed.
- Draft workplace policies that comply with current laws and regulations.
- Conduct employee trainings to ensure compliance and foster a positive work environment.
- Provide day-to-day advice and counsel to employers on various employment-related matters.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with litigation and employment law.
- Active bar licenses in New York and New Jersey; Connecticut bar license is a plus.
- Juris Doctor from an accredited university with strong academic credentials.
- Experience in drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions.
- Strong writing, communication, and research skills.
- Detail-oriented with an excellent work ethic and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience taking and defending depositions, and conducting administrative hearings is a plus.
