Senior M&A Counsel - Global Insurance Company
A Global Insurance Company is seeking a Senior M&A Counsel to support their Corporate Transactions business. The team is keen on bringing on an individual who can add value to the firm long-term, with great potential for upward mobility and high visibility across the business.
This role will act as a business partner broadly, leading deal execution teams and advising senior leadership on strategic corporate transactions, ranging from M&A, Capital Markets, and more. This role is hybrid (3 days in-office) in the firm's NYC location.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and advise business team leaders on complex corporate transactions.
- Lead deal teams to ensure deal execution and successful transactions.
- Manage external counsel on some transactions, ensuring that their work is reflective of the firm's best interests.
- Remain updated on regulatory developments and industry trends to advise the business accordingly.
- Gain exposure to a wide range of complex transactions and expand skillset for the long-term.
Qualifications:
- JD or equivalent and licensed to practice law in any U.S. state.
- 10+ years of experience leading complex transactions.
- Exposure to multi-billion-dollar transactions is considered a significant plus.
- Familiarity or willingness to gain experience handling reinsurance transactions; familiarity with the insurance industry is considered a significant plus.
- Strong leadership qualities and experience managing teams, junior associates, etc.
