In House Employment Counsel
My Client is an industry-leading food company seeking an In House Employment Counsel to handle employment matters, litigation, and disputes, regulatory compliance, and support other legal matters as needed. This person will also support the Company's international affairs from a legal perspective. This role reports directly to the General Counsel, promoting high visibility within the legal department of a global, industry-leading organization. The ideal candidate will find a fast-paced, ever-evolving legal landscape exciting, and should be reliable, have sound judgment, and be able to work independently when needed.
This role is hybrid in Ventura County.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure company-wide compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Support HR matters from a legal perspective.
- Manage global litigation and disputes.
- Oversee general global legal matters.
- Ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
- Support other corporate, transactional, and securities matters as necessary.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar License in good standing.
- 8+ years of combined relevant law firm and in-house experience.
