Corporate Counsel
We are currently partnered with an independent Supply Chain Management Company that serves a restaurant system of over 7,000 locations. The company's purchase volume is over $3 billion, leveraging this buying power for essentials including food, packaging, equipment, and other items.
They are looking for a Corporate Legal Counsel to provide support to their Legal Department. This role requires a high attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Drafts, reviews, and negotiates various commercial contracts, including purchasing and distribution agreements.
- Develops and implements legal compliance programs and policies.
- Manages relationships with suppliers and distributors to facilitate contracting and resolve issues.
- Creates and revises contract documents; provides technical advice and supports staff in transactions.
- Facilitates conflict resolution and supports adversarial disputes, including litigation and agency matters.
- Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and the company's Business Code of Ethics and Purchasing Policies.
- Provides legal advice on corporate matters, including taxation, governance, intellectual property, and antitrust.
- Offers business analysis and advice on supply chain management and compliance with financial and legal terms.
- Advises management and cross-functional teams on legal risks, strategy, compliance, and policy.
- Builds relationships with the company and other managed brands to resolve issues and ensure communication.
J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice law in a state or territory of the United States
3-5 years of relevant experience in-house and/or at a law firm
Experience in supply chain, logistics, or food and beverage industry is a plus
Logistics:
- This is a hybrid position, Monday - Thursday in-office
- Located in Miami, FL. The office is located near the Miami International Airport
