Corporate Counsel
A rapidly growing Consumer Services organization is seeking to hire an impressive Corporate Counsel who will lead in-house litigation efforts and support various other generalist matters as needed. This position reports directly to the General Counsel and is a great opportunity for someone with a strong litigation background to hone in on a generalist skillset.
Responsibilities
- Handle general liability, workers' compensation, and employment-related litigation with external counsel and insurance partners.
- Serve as the main contact for insurance brokers and adjusters, ensuring effective communication and claim resolution.
- Create strategies to minimize litigation risks and costs. Draft and enforce terms of use, internal policies, and compliance documents.
- Offer strategic legal advice for various business initiatives.
- Work with legal team members and business partners to ensure consistency and support business objectives.
- Engage in mediations, arbitration, and settlement discussions as required.
Qualifications:
- Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Current active license to practice law.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in private practice or corporate legal practice.
