Real Estate Paralegal
We are currently partnered with a leading, nationwide Real Estate Development Firm in the Greater Milwaukee area who is looking to bring on an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join their dynamic team. This individual will report directly into the Director of the group and work with the in-house legal team to assist with all phases of commercial real estate development transactions. This is a high visibililty role that interacts with various business units within the firm, works closely with senior leadership, and is an integral part to critical company matters.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and negotiate title and survey commitments, exceptions, and endorsements
- Draft and prepare closing checklists, closing documents, abstracts, and various other legal documentation
- Coordinate the closing of commercial real estate transactions and conduct all post-closing matters
- Prepare critical date checklists for purchase agreements and collaborate with inernal counsel
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of paralegal experience in-house with a commercial real estate firm and/or a law firm
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate development, due diligence, and closing transactions
- Experience with title and survey review
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once
