A powerhouse in the construction and power generation space is looking to expand their legal team with a skilled and motivated contract specialist. Reporting into the General Counsel, this person will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in handling the negotiation, drafting, and redlining of various contractual agreements. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and company requirements, while also mitigating risks and supporting our business operations. They will interface with a variety of business teams while utilizing their contract negotiation and darfting expertise to support the legal department.
The Contract Specialist will:
- Prepare, negotiate, and manage the redlining of terms and conditions, customer agreements, vendor agreements, purchase orders, change orders, and construction contracts.
- Ensure that all contractual documents are accurately maintained and updated, including certificates of insurance and other relevant documents.
- Ensure that all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in contractual agreements to protect the company's interests.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including legal, procurement, and project management teams, to support business objectives.
The Contract Specialist must have:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in contract management, with a strong focus on the power and construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, with experience in the construction and power generation space preferred.
