Role
We are partnered with a successful health services organization looking for a Healthcare Regulatory Counsel to join their team. Reporting directly to the GC, this position will oversee comprehensive healthcare compliance for the company's global operations. This includes advising on federal, state, and local healthcare laws, drafting and negotiating agreements, and working cross-functionally to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. This is a hybrid role in Orange County, CA.
Responsibilities
- Ensure regulatory compliance by advising on relevant healthcare laws and regulations (Anti-Kickback, HIPAA, Stark Law, etc.)
- Draft and negotiate complex agreements.
- Provide legal guidance on HIPAA compliance, advertising compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Manage all compliance programs and compliance training for the company.
- Support various other legal initatives including M&A, commercial, contractual, and risk issues.
Qualifications
- J.D. and active license (CA bar strongly preferred)
- 6+ YOE directly advising on healthcare regulatory issues
- Deep understanding of healthcare laws and regulations
- MCO experience preferred
