Position Overview: My client is seeking a California licensed Labor & Employment Associate with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling a wide range of employment issues, including single-plaintiff litigation (workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination) and class action/PAGA cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a broad spectrum of employment-related matters, including single-plaintiff litigation and class action/PAGA cases.
- Draft pleadings, conduct discovery, and prepare and argue motions.
- Take and defend depositions, and conduct administrative hearings (experience in these areas is a plus).
- Draft workplace policies, conduct employee training sessions, and provide daily advice and counsel to employers.
- Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, work ethic, and proficiency in writing, communication, and research.
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law in California.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in labor and employment law.
- Proven experience with employment litigation, including handling pleadings, discovery, and motion practice.
- Ability to draft policies and deliver employee training.
- Strong organizational skills, with exceptional writing, communication, and research capabilities.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 annually, based on a full-time schedule.
- Eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
