Key responsibilities:
- Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice and support to the company's senior management and various business units on a wide range of legal matters, including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and employment law.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including supply chain contracts, distribution agreements, marketing and advertising contracts, and other business-related documents.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company's operations comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including consumer protection laws, competition laws, and data privacy regulations.
- Dispute Resolution: Manage and resolve legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation, in collaboration with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Corporate Governance: Advise on corporate governance matters, including board meetings, shareholder agreements, and corporate policies and procedures.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with the company's operations and strategic initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of junior legal counsels and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory authorities.
- Corporate Law: Handle corporate law matters such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, and compliance with corporate regulations. Provide legal support for corporate transactions and ensure proper documentation and due diligence.
Key qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent law qualification, bar-qualified in Singapore
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
