A global, alternative asset manager is seeking a Trade Surveillance Officer to join their compliance team in NYC for a hybrid role leading their trade monitoring and market surveillance. This opportunity will report to senior leadership on the compliance team and will work directly with the traders and the front office on all issues surrounding trade compliance and monitoring. An ideal candidate will have experience coming from an asset management team at a bank or from a similar investment advisor at a hedge fund/alternative asset management firm.
Requirements:
- 4-8 years of experience within trade surveillance, trade monitoring, or a related field
- Experience dealing with regulatory filings, market surveillance, wall crossing, and managing restricted lists
- Ability to advise the business and work directly with the front office
- Experience creating and implementing policies for the relevant regulations
- Ability to interface with the technology team for relevant software and technology updates
