Litigation Associate - Elite Mid-Sized Law Firm
We have partnered with a prestigious defense litigation law firm with a robust national presence, looking to bring on a Litigation Associate for their Madison, NJ office. Recognized among the top 200 law firms by The American Lawyer and ranked 43rd in the National Law Journal's survey of the nation's largest law firms, they are also Mansfield Certified Plus and a Women in the Law Forum Gold Standard Law Firm.
This role offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement, providing balance that supports your professional growth and personal commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a litigation caseload from beginning to end under the supervision of senior attorneys
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations
- Draft case analysis reports to clients with proactive resolution strategies
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues in a supportive team environment
Qualifications:
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey
- 4+ years of general casualty litigation experience, particularly in premises liability, security, and construction accidents
- Experience in deposition, motion practice, and report writing required
- Trial and trial preparation experience preferred
- Superior analytical skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Sophisticated technical skills necessary
