A Leading Asset Management Firm is seeking a talented 40 Act Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. Specializing in a variety of strategies including Real Estate, Real Assets, Private Credit, and Direct Lending, the firm has continued to expand and be profitable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and prepare registered fund formation documents
- Ensure timely and accurate regulatory filings, including amendments, supplements, exchange listing applications, and proxy statements.
- Communicate with the SEC and other regulatory bodies on behalf of fund clients.
- Prepare agendas, resolutions, agreements, policies, procedures, and board meeting materials.
- Provide legal guidance on issues concerning regulated investment companies, investment advisors, and related entities.
Requirements:
- Law degree with 3+ years of experience in the Investment Company Act of 1940 and related securities laws.
- Knowledge of closed-end fund laws, mutual funds, business development companies, and ETFs is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
