We are currently partnered with a world-renowned Asset Manager who is looking to add a finance attorney to join their growing legal team. This individual will provide key support and leadership in helping the senior leaders with loan acquisitions and the securitizing of residential mortgage loans and other assets in the U.S. You will have the opportunity to work with C-suite executives while making an impact within the US business working on high-level transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior leaders on legal transactional matters for the acquisition of residential mortgage loans and other assets.
- Support the legal team on a wide range of general corporate matters.
- Review and negotiate mortgage loan purchase agreements, bid stipulations, asset purchase agreements, and other related trade documentation.
- Advise on any legal & regulatory matters as they come up in transactions.
Requirements:
- JD from a top tier Law school
- 2+ years of experience from a top-tier law firm or in-house environment
- Experience with loan acquisitions, mortgage and asset backed securitizations, and general knowledge of residential real estate
- Experience with mortgage related structured products is a plus
