We are partnered with a reputable national client seeking a mid-level attorney to join their Commercial Disputes practice. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in payor-provider litigation, preferably within the health care sector, and a demonstrated ability to provide exceptional legal analysis, strategic thinking, and advocacy. Candidates for this role will be considered in the following locations: Newark, NJ; Orange County, CA; Portland, OR; Pittsburgh, PA.
Responsibilities:
Handle health care claims, including processing and appeals terminology (CPTs, HCPCS, DRG).
Analyze communications between health care providers and insurers, such as denial and approval letters.
Review and interpret contracts, provider manuals, and Summary Plan Descriptions.
Examine key contract provisions and reimbursement language between health care systems and insurers.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to New Jersey and New York State Bars in good standing.
3-5 years of experience in payor-provider litigation, preferably in health care.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
