Our client is a well respected corporation looking for a candidate who will have extensive knowledge and experience in handling labor and employment law matters, including but not limited to employee relations, labor disputes, workplace compliance, and litigation. Our clients goal is to propel growth in their company while calibrating and mitigating legal risk.
The Corporate Counsel- Labor and Employment Attorney will be responsible for:
- Aid operations teams with onboarding, including analyzing applicants' obligations to previous employers.
- Provide day-to-day legal advice on various issues such as employment investigations, discipline, performance management, wage and hour, leaves, recruiting, job descriptions, and training practices.
- Guide clients on internal audits and process improvements.
- Provide legal advice and represent the company in complex litigation, compliance initiatives, new polices, negotiations, and settlement discussions.
The Corporate Counsel- Labor and Employment Attorney should have the following qualifications:
- 4-Year Undergraduate Degree
- J.D. from an Accredited Law School
- 5-7 years' experience providing employment-related legal advice/guidance and managing/litigating employment-related disputes in either a law firm or in-house environment preferred.
- Valid license to practice law in at least one state in the United States.
