We are seeking a talented EHS Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations including OSHA, CERCLA/Superfund, CAA, CWA, TSCA, RCRA, or FIFRA, & will be adept at handling a variety of compliance and litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance Counseling: Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
- Litigation and Defense: Represent clients in administrative hearings, litigation, and enforcement actions related to EHS matters.
- Risk Management: Conduct internal investigations of workplace incidents, prepare emergency response plans, and develop safety programs to mitigate risks.
- Training and Audits: Provide training to management and employees on EHS issues, conduct workplace safety audits, and assist with the implementation of compliance programs.
- Regulatory Updates: Monitor and analyze emerging EHS laws and regulations, and provide strategic guidance to clients on potential impacts.
- Client Representation: Represent clients in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in response to whistleblower complaints.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in good standing.
- 3+ years of experience in EHS law, preferably with a focus on the following; OSHA, CERCLA/Superfund, CAA, CWA, TSCA, RCRA, FIFRA & other environmental regulations.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with client counseling and litigation is preferred.
