Our Client is an industry-leading, privately owned, hypergrowth food manufacturing organization. They are looking to hire their first in-house counsel, who will serve as head of legal within the company. This person will be working closely with and reporting directly to the CEO, and spearheading all legal processes for the organization. This is a fantastic opportunity for a legal generalist who wants to play an integral part in the legal and business operations of a growing organization.
This role is 100% onsite in Orange County, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with laws/regulations specific to the food industry.
- Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing various contracts/agreements.
- Advising on real estate matters.
- Overseeing and managing litigation.
- Handling employment matters.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar License in good standing.
- 8+ years of experience
- Ideally, experience in an in-house corporate legal department in the food/beverage industries.
- Ideally, experience with supply chain matters.
