As a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney, you will represent the Insurance Firm in various workers' compensation claims, developing effective strategies to minimize liabilities and protect their interests. This role requires a thorough understanding of California workers' compensation laws and a proactive approach to risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Handle workers compensation cases from pleadings through trial
- Analyze and evaluate workers' compensation claims to determine the best defense strategies.
- Prepare and present cases at hearings and mediations.
- Collaborate with clients to gather evidence and build strong defenses.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide clients with timely and strategic legal advice.
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active California State Bar membership.
- Anywhere from 2 to 7+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense or related fields.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
