We are partnered with a highly reputable client seeking a Labor and Employment Attorney to join their dynamic team in their Miami office. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of employment litigation experience, however, candidates with federal litigation will be considered if they have a strong desire to move into the L&E space. This is a hybrid role requiring the candidate to be in person 3 days/week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and review legal documents such as position statements, employment and separation agreements, motions, and briefs.
- Handle cases involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment , wage and hour disputes, retaliation, etc.
- Counsel clients across diverse areas including wage & hour, ADA, class and collective action, Title VII, and Title IX.
- Remain up to date with wage laws and leave regulations such as FMLA and ADA.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of federal litigation experience, employment litigation highly preferred
- Experience with single or multi-plaintiff litigation in federal and state court
- J.D. from an accredited university with excellent academic credentials
- Active license to practice in Florida
