Labor & Employment Attorney Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel on labor and employment law matters, including wage and hour laws, discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and employee benefits.
- Represent clients in federal and state courts, as well as before administrative agencies such as the EEOC, NLRB, and DOL.
- Draft and review employment contracts, handbooks, policies, and separation agreements.
- Conduct internal investigations regarding workplace issues and assist in compliance audits.
- Stay current on labor and employment law developments and advise clients accordingly.
- Negotiate and litigate labor disputes and union matters, including collective bargaining agreements.
- Advise clients on best practices to minimize legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws.
Labor & Employment Attorney Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the Nevada State Bar.
- 3+ years of experience in labor and employment law.
- Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with federal and state labor laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title VII, and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience representing both employers
