Position Overview: My client is looking for a detail-oriented Labor & Employment Associate with a minimum of 6+ years of experience to join our team in California either (Los Angeles, San Diego, or San Francisco). The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide range of employment issues, including single-plaintiff employment litigation (e.g., workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination lawsuits) and class action/PAGA experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle litigation matters from start to finish, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing and arguing motions.
- Take and defend depositions, and represent clients in administrative hearings (experience in this area is a plus).
- Advise and counsel employers on day-to-day employment matters, including workplace policies and employee relations.
- Draft and implement workplace policies, conduct employee training sessions, and provide preventative legal advice to employers.
- Work collaboratively with other team members on complex legal issues and provide comprehensive legal support to clients.
Qualifications:
- Active California bar license.
- 6+ years of experience in Labor & Employment law, with a strong background in single-plaintiff employment litigation and class action/PAGA matters.
- Proven experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, as well as arguing motions.
- Strong deposition and administrative hearing experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, writing, and research skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
