Labor Relations Attorney Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel on all aspects of labor relations, including union organizing campaigns, collective bargaining, and union-management relations.
- Represent the company in grievance arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) proceedings, and other labor-related disputes.
- Draft, review, and negotiate collective bargaining agreements, labor-related policies, and employment contracts to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Advise management on the legal implications of labor and employment matters, including workforce management strategies and labor-related compliance issues.
- Collaborate with HR, senior management, and other departments to address labor relations issues and foster positive labor-management relations.
- Conduct training on labor law issues, workplace policies, and best practices for dealing with union-related matters.
- Stay current on developments in labor law, NLRB rulings, and other regulatory changes, ensuring the company's practices remain compliant and proactive.
Labor Relations Attorney Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership and in good standing, with the ability to practice in California, Washington, Oregon, and Colorado.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in labor relations law, with a strong focus on traditional labor matters such as union organizing, collective bargaining, and grievance arbitration.
- Strong knowledge of the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), labor law precedents, and industry-specific labor issues.
