My client is a leading first osubmarine cable manufacturer and they are seeking a Project Legal Counsel based in Taiwan. You will have the opportunity to provide transaction-focused legal advisory services to top management, sales, and procurement managers.
Key Responsibilities (Project development & Project execution Phases):
- Advising, drafting, commenting, and negotiating intricate contract documents for large electricity transmission projects.
- Engaging with subcontractors and stakeholders on legal matters during project implementation.
- Supporting all related daily legal matters, such as corporate law, antitrust, and corporate governance.
- Conducting in-house legal training sessions.
- Providing strategic and tactical advice and support during startup phases of projects, including defining contract management processes and templates in collaboration with project teams.
- Providing advice on risk mitigation, and ensuring compliance during project execution.
- Liaising with contract management function, advising on incoming and outgoing contractual claims. Leading negotiations and facilitating dispute resolution.
Key Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in contract law and business law from a large law firm or an international company
- Excellent command of English and Mandarin
- Preferred if experience with international standard contracts like FIDIC, NSC05
