As they continue expanding in the U.S., they are seeking a skilled Real Estate Manager to join their team and support land acquisition and management for renewable energy projects.
Position Overview
The Real Estate Manager will oversee land acquisition, due diligence, title review, and contract negotiation for renewable energy projects. This role is essential in securing land rights and ensuring compliance with regulatory and financial requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in real estate transactions, title work, and risk management within the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Land Acquisition & Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate land leases, easements, and purchase agreements.
- Ensure contracts align with project needs, company objectives, and legal standards.
- Negotiate terms with landowners, developers, and other stakeholders.
Due Diligence & Title Review:
- Assess potential risks and confirm land suitability for renewable energy development.
- Coordinate with title specialists to resolve title issues, encumbrances, and legal concerns.
- Review zoning, permitting, and land use restrictions affecting project feasibility.
- Conduct title research, analyze property ownership, and verify regulatory compliance.
Risk Mitigation & Compliance:
- Identify and mitigate legal and financial risks related to land use and title issues.
- Provide recommendations to project managers to address potential obstacles.
- Manage disputes or contract breaches, collaborating with legal teams as needed.
- Ensure contracts comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Contract Administration & Payments:
- Maintain an organized database of real estate contracts and documents.
- Monitor contract deadlines, payments, and compliance obligations.
- Coordinate execution of landowner payments and ensure timely processing.
- Work closely with finance and accounting teams on budgeting and expense tracking.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in title management, land acquisition, real estate transactions, or related fields (renewable energy preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Expertise in title review, contract law, land acquisition, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience working with landowners and legal teams.
- Financial proficiency for budgeting and payment reconciliation.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and land management/document tracking systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
