Job Description: A Leading Global Bank is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Attorney to join our legal team, specializing in the Investment Company Act of 1940 (40 Act). This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex legal matters, support our investment management business, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and review of regulatory filings under the 40 Act.
- Provide legal support for the formation, registration, and ongoing maintenance of investment companies.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on issues related to the 40 Act and other relevant securities laws.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including compliance, finance, and operations, to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Draft and review legal documents, including prospectuses, shareholder reports, and board materials.
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise on potential impacts to the business.
- Support senior attorneys in various legal projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 2-7 years of experience in securities law, with a focus on the 40 Act preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and related regulations.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
