Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Risk Management/Self-Insurance Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, self-insurance, and healthcare law. This position will play a critical role in supporting our risk management and self-insurance programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and mitigating potential risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management and administration of the company's self-insurance program.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on risk management and self-insurance issues.
- Draft, review, and maintain legal documents, including contracts, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to gather and analyze information related to risk management and self-insurance matters.
- Support the development and implementation of risk management strategies and initiatives.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to self-insurance and risk management.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of claims and incidents.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all risk management and self-insurance activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- Paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management, self-insurance, or healthcare law.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to self-insurance and risk management.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
