Role Overview:
As a Senior Contracts Specialist, you will play a key role in reviewing, negotiating, and managing a variety of sponsored program agreements, including grants, MOUs, data use agreements, subcontracts, and more. Your expertise will ensure compliance with research regulations, while collaborating closely with compliance teams in intellectual property, data security, and human subject's research. You will help streamline the negotiation process and ensure the integrity of the research agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate and manage various sponsored program agreements.
- Provide compliance guidance on policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Review grant application requirements and offer guidance on proposals.
- Coordinate agreement negotiations using research administration tools.
Qualifications:
- Education: JD required.
- Experience: 2-4 years of contract negotiation experience, preferably in a sponsored programs environment.
- Strong knowledge of government regulations related to university research.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); experience with Oracle systems preferred.
