A leading energy company focused on innovation and sustainability is seeking a Senior Counsel to join the legal team. This opportunity involves advising on manufacturing and procurement matters, drafting and negotiating contracts, and handling legal issues. You will work closely with engineering, procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to support the development and deployment of energy solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Advise Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams on legal matters related to joint development, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, supply agreements, indirect sourcing, and logistics.
- Support product managers and technical teams with legal guidance during product design and development, focusing on procurement and supply chain coordination.
- Lead contract negotiations and maintain relationships with external manufacturing and supply chain partners.
- Develop and maintain templates and negotiation documents for procurement and supply chain agreements.
- Establish processes and procedures for direct and indirect procurement.
- Oversee and manage supply-side legal operations
- Manage supplier risks related to corruption and anti-bribery.
- Ensure compliance with conflict minerals, trade regulations, and related legal matters.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
- Active membership in good standing with at least one state.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working on commercial transactions related to manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, or engineering legal matters.
- International legal experience is a plus.
- Patent & IP licensing experience is preferred.
