A leading Insurance firm is looking to add a Senior Counsel that will be joining the fastest growing business line within the firm, working directly with the business deal team. The Associate General Counsel, Transactions will provide legal and strategic advice for the company's rapidly growing transactional business, negotiating a variety of complex transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiating transactions and drafting a wide range of transactions documents
- Act as the strategic legal advisor on large insurance and reinsurance transactions
- Serve as the lead advisor on regulatory matters affecting the business
- Serve as legal lead on developing and implanting best practices of a growing organization
- Work cross-functionally across the business with the business deal team, legal team, and leadership team
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree (JD) and 6+ years of experience in law, preferably including financial services
- Experience with insurance and reinsurance transactions preferred
- Experience working independently or acting as the lead when negotiating complex transactions
- Superior negotiation, communication, and drafting abilities
