They are currently looking to expand their legal team and bring on a Senior Counsel to handle general Corporate Governance and Securities, as well as handle any relevant legal questions that may come up. The position would be under the direction of the GC and would be in line to take over the GC position upon the GC's retirement. This position offers a competitive salary of $225k-275k, a hybrid working schedule, and the opportunity to work with a company that genuinely cares about its clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle general Corporate Governance matters
- Prepare relevant SEC filings as necessary
- Answer relevant any legal questions that may come up
- Maintain an accurate knowledge of any relevant regulations and requirements
- Assist in training new attorneys, as necessary
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited Law School
- Be a member, and in good standing, with a State Bar
- 7+ years of legal experience in the financial services industry, Law Firm or In-House, with a strong preference for experience with public funds and the 1940's act
- The ability to effectively and persuasively communicate in precise, persuasive, and professional manner
- Comfortability working directly with C Suite level executives
