A prominent transportation company is looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to join the team. This position offers direct visbility to company leadership and the chance to step into higher management roles within an established, family-run business. The team is looking for an energetic, agile, and motivated individual to wear multiple hats and improve the efficiency of the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a small team of direct reports; Work closely with the CFO to boost accounting team performance
- Ensure adherence to accounting, operations, and compliance standards in a regulated market
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain financial records, and implement financial policies and procedures
Skills Required:
- Degree and/or Advanced Degree in Accounting/Finance
- 5-7+ years' accounting experience with leadership and/ or management experience
- Public accounting or relevant industry experience, preferably within transportation or other highly-regulated field
- CPA, CFA, or other relevant certifications are a plus
