Position Overview:
As a Compliance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the company's regulatory compliance initiatives related to SERFF filing and state licensing. Your work will ensure that the company's operations align with state and federal requirements, mitigating risks while supporting business growth. This is a hybrid position with the flexibility to work both remotely and in our Atlanta office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee SERFF filings for new and existing life and health insurance products, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Stay up-to-date with state-specific filing requirements and deadlines, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Facilitate and manage state insurance licensing processes, including initial applications, renewals, and amendments for agents and the company.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary documentation and data for filings and licensing.
- Review and interpret state regulations, guidelines, and bulletins to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Assist with audits and examinations by regulatory bodies, preparing responses and providing necessary documentation.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of filings and licensing status, ensuring proper documentation and tracking for compliance purposes.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in insurance compliance, with a focus on life and health insurance, SERFF filings, and state licensing.
- Knowledge of state insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with SERFF (System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with state insurance licensing processes for both individuals and companies.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance-related software.
