We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Compliance and Corporate Counsel to lead our compliance and legal operations. In this role, you will ensure that our organization adheres to federal and state healthcare regulations while managing corporate legal matters. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining trust with patients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies while upholding our mission to advance women's health.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain healthcare compliance programs to meet federal, state, and local regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute).
- Conduct regular compliance audits and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Serve as the organization's compliance officer, addressing inquiries and resolving compliance issues effectively.
Legal Advisory:
- Provide counsel on healthcare laws, corporate governance, contracts, and risk management.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor agreements, service agreements, and other business-critical documents.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings, regulatory filings, and negotiations as needed.
Policy and Training:
- Develop and update internal policies to align with legal and regulatory changes.
- Conduct training for staff on compliance, privacy, and ethical practices.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential legal risks affecting the organization.
- Support the leadership team in strategic decision-making with sound legal guidance.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; admission to the bar in [state(s)] required.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare law, compliance, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
