We have partnered with an AM 100 global law firm looking to hire a remote Labor & Employment Attorney. They represent management in complex and high-stakes cases involving discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, and other workplace issues. You will be able to work with Fortune 500 clients and enjoy a reduced billable hours requirement compared to their competitors.
This role has the flexibility of being fully remote, but individuals must reside and be barred in the State of California.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in employment litigation matters, focusing on defense against claims such as sexual harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, breach of employment contract, and wrongful discipline.
- Handle EPLI cases, including providing coverage and dealing with insurance-related aspects.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Advise clients on employment law compliance and risk management.
- Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience with employment litigation on the defense side
- Experience handling EPLI cases, preferred
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar
