Role
They are hiring a Healthcare Regulatory Counsel to provide essential legal support on regulatory matters for post-acute care operations. This person will navigate various healthcare regulations while offering business advice to identify and resolve legal issues. Responsibilities also include assisting with contracts and ensuring compliance with Federal and State healthcare laws.
Responsibilities
- Advise and support business units with all regulatory issues.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negoatiating complex agreements.
- Research and provide guidance on state and federal healthcare regulations, ensuring compliance and advising on implementation.
- Counsel facilities on various laws and initiatives in post-acute care settings, including Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement
- Stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes, advising stakeholders on compliance and participating in relevant committees.
- Evaluate business risks and collaborate with key stakeholders on compliance issues and legal risks.
Qualifications
- J.D. and active license
- 6+ YOE in healthcare transactions
- Deep understanding of healthcare laws and regulations
- Familiarity with the MCO landscape
