Job Title: Labor and Employment Attorney (Hybrid/Remote)
Location: California, Arizona, Oregon, or Washington State
Experience required: 4+ years of labor and employment or employment litigation experience
Job Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and employment law, with a proven track record of providing strategic legal advice and representation to clients. This role requires excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including but not limited to, employment litigation, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and labor relations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, severance agreements, non-compete agreements, and other employment-related documents.
- Conduct legal research and stay current on federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations.
- Represent clients in administrative hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
- Advise clients on compliance with labor and employment laws, including the development and implementation of workplace policies and procedures.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of employee complaints and disputes.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on complex cases and projects.
- Provide training and guidance to clients on best practices in labor and employment law.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the California, Arizona, Oregon, or Washington State bar
- Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing labor and employment law at a top law firm or an in-house counsel
- Strong employment litgation experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience representing clients in administrative hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings is preferred.
