We are partnered with an academic medical institution in the Northeast to add a managerial - level Billing and Compliance Specialist. This is a remote leadership opportunity with quarterly onsite visits. The manager role will have a team of direct reports and visibility to the executive team, responsible for being a liaison with leadership across various departments to enable an effective compliance program.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors team of direct reports, ensuring compliance with federal & state regulations for all auditing & medical record reports
- Owns and develops training materials for provider & staff compliance education
- Assists the CCO with implementation of the compliance risk assessment
Requirements:
- 5+ years' of experience with exposure to medical coding, auditing, and within compliance departments
- 2+ years' management experience
- Certified Professional Coder Certificate (CPC)
